West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Pardew has claimed that Daniel Sturridge will miss next weekend's FA Cup action with a hamstring injury.
The striker, who moved to the Hawthorns from Liverpool on loan until the end of the season, pulled up just three minutes into the team's match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Overall, it was a disappointing evening for the Baggies as they suffered a 3-0 defeat.
When asked about Sturridge's injury woe, Pardew said: "He felt his hamstring after a 60 metre full sprint in the first moments of the game. He's had to come off. We'll have to nurse him. He won't play next week but hopefully the week after."
