Allegri: 'I turned down Real Madrid'

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has admitted that he turned down an offer from Real Madrid for their managerial position.

Allegri spoke with Sky Italy and was quoted saying, "Florentino Perez contacted me for Real Madrid job but I’ve refused, my future is at Juventus."

With one sentence, the Italian assured his future with Juve and struck down one of the most coveted managerial positions in the world. It was announced this week that Julen Lopetegui Argote, will take over Los Blancos.

Lopetegui was, in turn, fired from his position as Spanish national team manager in a shock move.
